Project objectives

Main objective:

Conceiving, designing, developing and testing a complex system of monitoring the displacements of the morphological structures based on transducers that uses special micro and nanostructured materials and advanced information processing techniques for the detection and warning of incipient landslides.

 

Specific objectives:

1. The valuation of the possibilities of using special micro and nanostructured magnetic materials to develop new strain sensors.

2. The conception, design and testing of landslide and pore water pressure transducers. Performance evaluation.

3. The design and implementation of an intelligent sensor network based on wireless communication protocols with high data security.

4. Building the database and the user interface.

5. Testing the whole monitoring system in real working conditions in the field. The acquisition and data interpretation.
